You should always wash potatoes?

Potato Peel contains a wealth of vitamins, fiber and minerals. You can eat them so safely, provided that you first wash the potatoes well before cooking with warm, clear waters and all the earth remains thoroughly removes. 

Potatoes are so nutritious and nowadays some chefs serve fried potato peelings even as a garnish. 



Are you a fan of potatoes, peel them as thinly as possible and remove any black spots or eyes. Look at that peeled Charlotte, Amandine or the Cornes gatte after peeling also washed in clear water or rinse under the tap? Well, it all depends on the method of preparation. 

Use the potatoes into slices - for a gratin, hash browns, waffles or other dishes where a binder is needed - then you should not wash them. The starch in the potato will give in this case, binding to your dish. 
However, if you make fries or baked potatoes than you were the best potatoes shortly after peeling. Then pat very dry and place them on paper towels. If you do not, the potato pieces will through the water, but especially want to make the starch string tangles which is not ideal if you tasty home made fries. 

Do not use rinse water of potato in a preparation.
